The idea is to develop a plantation using the syntrophic system in marginal, degraded and unused lands and to maximize production through the appropriate combination of different oil producing species, which produce good yields and are easily adapted to most soils and climatic conditions. The strategy also includes the protection of existing forests. Deforestation to clean the land to establish the oil producing plantations has no place in this project. Other positive effects of the project include reduction of CO² emission, control of erosion and better water management.
